About Us
Healing Solutions Therapy Training Center was born out of a desire to do more to support the growth and development of therapists and to broaden access to care. After 2 successful years of running our Associate program, Healing Solutions began a student trainee program for LPCC-track, MSW, and Psy.D. students as allowed by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. By branching out with our Therapy Training Center, Healing Solutions is excited to also offer practicum to MFT students.
We believe in the power of knowledge and learning through hands-on, experiential training. With this, we strive to provide excellent scaffolding for therapists in all stages of their careers to grow.
Our Values
We practice the four cornerstones of a healthy relationship: love, kindness, compassion, and respect. We practice Connected Autonomy: the privilege of working independently along with the responsibility of getting all of our work accomplished in a timely manner and seeking support proactively. We practice Authenticity. We encourage you to show up unapologetically as yourself each day.
We believe that everyone deserves access to Quality Mental Health services; therefore, we accept insurance, offer sliding scale and pro bono therapy services to our community. We practice providing access by providing varied days and hours for appointments as well as varied delivery modalities including 3 different in person locations, as well as tele-therapy and Tele-psychiatry.
We have compassion towards our clients’ humanness, have curiosity about the clients' experience, and use cultural humility in our care. We are Committed to providing the best care possible for our clients, up to and including referring them to a different therapist. We use creativity in providing individualized care to best meet the needs of our clients.
Integrity is the practice of being honest and showing a consistent and uncompromising adherence to strong moral and ethical principles and values. In ethics, integrity is regarded as the honesty and truthfulness or earnestness of one's actions. We practice integrity in every area of our business: choosing courage over comfort; choosing what’s right over what’s fast or easy; and practicing our values, not just professing them.
Our Leadership

Executive Director and Board President Tricia Hamm, LMFT 109281, has been helping individuals and families of Southern California heal from past trauma and cultivate their authentic life since 2013 through Community based programs such as Wraparound and IFCCS. Her group therapy practice, Healing Solutions Family Therapy Center, was born out of her experience with the unhoused and uninsured populations, intensive services with children and teens, as well as family centered therapy. In her time away from the office, Tricia enjoys joining her husband David in coaching youth softball in the spring, going to the beach in Ventura, and spending time with their shared nine children and nine grandchildren, as well as their three dogs, Bella, Gracie, and Bubba Gus.
Board Vice President Chris Theobald, LMFT, LPCC, RPT, has been providing mental health services since 2014 and now serves as a clinician, supervisor, and educator within our training program. He is deeply committed to supporting developing therapists as they grow their confidence, find their clinical voice, and anchor themselves in meaningful theoretical foundations. Chris leads onboarding for new clinicians and provides training in documentation, clinical skills development, trauma‑informed care, and professional identity formation. He facilitates student support groups and offers both individual and group supervision. One of his greatest joys in this role is witnessing the transformation that unfolds as nervous new therapists grow into grounded, capable clinicians. Contributing to that growth aligns with his core goal: to create the greatest amount of good possible through teaching and mentorship. Clinically, Chris specializes in working with adults navigating trauma and attachment wounds. He divides his time between direct clinical care, supervision, and educating the next generation of therapists in our practice.
