Practicum Program
About Out Program
In order to bolster our value of access to care, we decided to begin to offer practicum placement to students completing their LPCC-track, MSW, Psy.D., and/or MFT. Taking on students allows us to provide sliding scale services to our community while also nurturing the next generation of mental-health care. We admit new interns on a rolling basis and expect a commitment of at least one academic year.

Consultation Groups
The practicum experience begins with a comprehensive onboarding experience. You will be trained in internal systems such as Spruce, Slack, and TherapyNotes. You will also learn streamlined documentation skills and review company policies and procedures. Our onboarding process typically takes 6-8 weeks so we encourage applicants to keep that in mind when timing their applications.
Your caseload is set based on your needs. We will strive to match the hours minimum required by your school but do not require a minimum number of clients per week. Direct hours can consist of individual, couples, family, child, and group sessions depending on your interests and the practice's current clinical needs.
You will complete 2 hours of group supervision and 1 hour of individual/triadic supervision per week. You will join associates for their group supervision, allowing you to consult with colleagues at varying stages of obtaining their hours.
We offer a number of consultation groups for more specific clinical learning. These groups are often a combination of case consults, live roleplays, and concept introduction. Past offerings have included child-centered therapy, trauma and grief, perinatal care, nutrition and mental health, and EMDR.
Admission Requirements

Be an active member of an accredited program and currently enrolled in a practicum course through their master's program

Be available to work in-person in either our Lancaster, Valencia, or Tehachapi office

Be available to work within the hours of 9am-5pm Monday-Friday in order to overlap with onsite supervisors and managers
